The Faial Island Sustainable Tourism Association (ATSF) actively participated in the General Assembly of the Conference of Peripheral Maritime Regions (CPMR), held in Ponta Delgada, Azores, bringing together representatives from island and maritime regions across Europe.
During the event, Polyvios Raxis (Atlantis) delivered an engaging online presentation of the ecoRoute project, highlighting its objectives, achievements, and contribution to the sustainable promotion of underwater cultural and natural heritage.
The presentation showcased how initiatives like ecoRoute demonstrate the critical role of interregional cooperation in strengthening the appreciation and protection of natural and cultural assets, particularly within the context of the blue and green economy and in EU outermost regions.
Participation in the CPMR General Assembly provided a valuable opportunity to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and reinforce the importance of joint efforts in promoting sustainable tourism and heritage preservation across European maritime regions.
