ecoRoute showcased at European Maritime Day 2026 | 21 – 22 May 2026 | Limassol, Cyprus

The ecoRoute project was showcased at European Maritime Day (EMD) 2026 in Limassol, Cyprus bringing the project’s initiatives and vision for sustainable tourism to a wide audience of maritime and coastal stakeholders from across Europe including tourism professionals, policymakers, researchers and local stakeholders. As part of its participation in the event, Atlantis Consulting (ATL) promoted ecoRoute at its exhibition stand through a project video, banner and informational flyers, engaging visitors and raising awareness of the project’s results and impact.

In addition to the exhibition activities, the ecoRoute Project Coordinator Polyvios Raxis participated in the workshop WS7: Sustainable Tourism as a Resource for Coastal Communities”, organised by CINEA on Thursday 21st. During the discussion session, the coordinator shared key lessons learned from the project and highlighted ecoRoute’s legacy in supporting sustainable tourism development across the project’s three participating regions.

EMD 2026 overall provided a valuable opportunity to disseminate ecoRoute’s achievements, exchange experiences with stakeholders and contribute to discussions on the future of sustainable coastal and maritime tourism in Europe.
