The ecoRoute project is honored to announce the International Conference “New Challenges for Underwater Nature and Cultural Heritage Tourism during the Ocean Decade,” hosted by the AMU UNESCO Chair in Maritime and Coastal Archaeology in collaboration with the UNESCO 2001 Convention Secretariat.

The Conference is organised under the auspices of the UNESCO Chair in maritime and coastal archaeology (MoMArch – Aix-Marseille University) and the UNESCO UNITWIN Network for Underwater Archaeology and in collaboration with ecoRoute and other two EU projects; the Horizon Europe project TOURAL and the EMFAF project uBlueTec.

ecoRoute’s Special Session

The ecoRoute project hosts the Special Session “Smart, green and sustainable UW cultural and natural tourism in the Outermost Regions of Europe” which will focus on:

  • Policy pathways supporting sustainable tourism growth in Outermost regions, stakeholders’ engagement, local interventions supporting social cohesion, the environment and biodiversity.

  • Multi-destination eco-tourism models.

  • PEF calculators for tourism businesses and embryonic Tourism Dataspaces.
